Industrial, Mechanical and Production Engineers worked in most parts of Australia, with Victoria having the largest share. They primarily work in Manufacturing; Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and Mining industries. Common duties include: 

  • research project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units 
  • create work measurement programs and analyse work samples to develop standards for labour utilisation
