Engineering Managers

Engineering Managers primarily work in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; Manufacturing; and Construction. Common duties include: 

  • manage engineering strategies, policies and plans
  • interpret plans, illustrations and specifications, and provide advice on engineering methods and procedures to meet construction and production requirements
  • establish project schedules and budgets
  • ensure conformity with plans and specifications, and with laws, regulations and safety standards
  • ensure engineering standards of quality, cost, safety, timeliness and performance are implemented
